Description: A set of 2 matching nut bowl/baskets, hand woven by the Zulu tribe in South Africa. They are made from Ilala Palm and have a zig zag pattern on the top in a light brown color with the natural cream color below and base. The smaller basket is 3.25" diameter x 1.75" tall. The larger bowl is 4.25" diameter x 1.75" tall and the tag indicates it is an "OOPS" basket, for Out of Ordinary Production System. That indicates it was handwoven by a small Zulu girl who, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother, will be fully conversant in the age-old art of basket weaving by the time she reaches puberty. Both baskets have the original tags attached and have never been used.
