When you receive this hard drive you will have to first install it then go online to the Microsoft website and download the most recent OSU1 file, put it on a thumb drive, and use it to update your system for this drive to work. READ THIS - With any Xbox One drive you replace you will lose the boot animation. The boot animation should return with the next update but I cannot promise that. This is the same with any replacement hard drive you purchase and it does not effect the way the drive operates, it just will not show the Xbox boot animation when you start the console. Most people do not even notice this being the console will stay connected to power and only shows the boot animation when you start it up after it has been unplugged.
