Description: Up for sale is a WW2 era specification M-422 Intermediate Bu Aero US Navy G-1 Flight/Bomber Jacket made in America by US Authentic Mfg. Co. men's size 40 brown goatskin leather shell, rayon lined, genuine mouton collar flight/bomber jacket in excellent condition generally - no real signs of wear but there are several small snag holes to the knit cuff of the right sleeve and some discoloration to the rayon liner - see last 2 photos. It has four external pockets in a pocket on pocket design with button closure flaps, a snap closure internal map pocket, a pleated back, vented and gusseted underarms, a full length brass zipper front closure with an internal leather windflap, a tab/button closure at the neck, a mouton collar and wool rib rack knit wrist cuffs and waistband. I will guarantee the following measurements to within a half inch but I cannot guarantee a specific tagged size nor that the coat will fit you - know your measurements, that is your responsibility. Approximate measurements (to +/- half inch) taken across the back: shoulder seam to seam - 18.5"; armpit to pit - 22"; armpit to sleeve end - 20"; shoulder seam to sleeve end - 25"; sleeve end to middle collar seam - 33"; collar seam to bottom - 25". I don't recommend shipping options other than Priority Mail because by the time insurance is added (I will NOT ship without insurance) any savings is nominal plus with economy shipping the package is in the USPS system at least twice as long which increases the chance for loss or damage. One of the challenges of selling here is accurately estimating shipping costs in my ads (which is why I prefer to use Priority Mail Flat Rate) and while I have become good at doing so, occasionally I really guess wrong - if my estimate is too low, I absorb the difference.
