Known around the game as a notoriously nice guy, he's possibly most famous for catching Sandy Koufax's perfect game in 1965. He would catch two more no hitters in his career, thrown by Bill Singer and Nolan Ryan (Ryan's first in 1973, while with the Angels.) Torborg would later become manager for 5 different MLB teams between 1977 and 2003: the Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, New York Mets, Montreal Expos, and Florida Marlins.
