Description: Made for the Freer Gallery of Art, part of the National Gallery of Asian Art in Washington D.C. by Alva Museum Replica, this pendant is a representation of an animal mask used to decorate bronze ritual vessels dur the Chinese Shang Dynasty, 5th-3rd centuries. The large pendant with a gold finish is 3" long and 2 1/2" wide with elaborate detailing. It suspends from a 20" chain with a spring ring clasp that is accented with oblong red jasper beads, black onyx round beads and small gold round beads.
