Description: VINTAGE WESTINGHOUSE 16" OSCILLATING BRASS BLADE FAN3 SPEEDS - THIS FAN OSCILLATES WELL ... HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A STATIONARY SETTING. MODEL 164851 G QUIET OPERATION FOR A FAN MOVING THIS MUCH AIR AROUND. THE MOTOR IS EXCELLENT AND GETS TO SPEED QUICKLY. THERE IS ONE FLAW --- THERE IS SOME "PLAY" IN THE HEAD MOVEMENT ... AND AT THE END OF THE LEFT SIDE CYCLE, THE "HEAD" OF THE FAN DROPS A VERY SMALL BIT, RESETS, AND THEN RESTARTS IT CYCLE. OWN A STUNNING PIECE OF INDUSTRIAL ART ALL PICTURES IN THE GALLERY SHOTS TAKEN DIRECTLY OF THE OBJECT FOR SALE. CONDITION: GOOD WORKING FAN. I SPENT ABOUT TWO HOURS CLEANING THE BLADE . THE FINISH IS ABOUT 75% RESTORED. MORE TIME COULD BE USED TO COMPLETELY RESTORE THE LUSTER OF THE BRASS. I RECOMMEND BRASSO BRASS CLEANER. AT SOME POINT THE BUYER MAY WANT TO REPAINT THE BASE. FAN NOW HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT WHICH IS NO LONGER PERFECTLY SMOOTH .... ESPECIALLY AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE.FAN WILL BE BROKEN DOWN INTO THREE PARTS TO SHIP .... BASE / BLADE / AND CAGE .... EACH WRAPPED INDIVIDUALLY. THIS FAN OSCILLATES BUT DOES NOT HAVE A STATIONARY POSITION. no reserve, Great Find!! We specialize in 16 & 35mm equipment & film.
