A Dorothy Kindell Young Woman Head Vase with her rare tribal necklace.She is 6” tall and in superb condition, having a factory blemish where the necklace hangs on her long, elegant neck and a little crazing on her neck, typical of her age and composition.She has a slight hint of teal eyeshadow, highlighting her black eyeliner and vivid red lipstick, with beautiful light tan skin, and Dorothy Kindell” impressed on bottom.Artist Dorothy Kindell, from Laguna Beach, California produced unique figurines and giftware mostly in the 1940s through to the early 50s. Her clever figure art has become a popular hand painted ceramic collectable; Well known for her work depicting nude and semi-nude women figures, which was very unusual in their day.She is very hard to find, especially wearing the Teal blue with a hint of pink spacers on her ceramic tribal necklace. She has no cracks, hairlines or repairs.This is a popular and is highly sought ahead vase, few have the original necklace surviving.This head vase has no paint loss, scratches, or repairs.She is in near mint condition and is immaculate, inside and out.Her dimensions are 6" high x 3-3/4" wide x 2-1/2" diameter.The young woman head vase displays beautifully and is simply captivating.
