Description: Rare case that is stamped SOUTH CENTRAL BELL Headquarters, Birmingham, ALA. I believe the case is leather. It was probably used as a briefcase, but it could have even held hardware, possibly. The handle hardware looks to be brass. The bottom has 6 metal "feet". The inside of the box has a tag that says WEAR BEST - Top Grain Cowhide There are 3 spaces inside separated by petitions. Outer dimensions of the case are about as follows: 16" wide x 7" deep x 11" tall. The closing / clasps work good. The case is very well made.
