Wood, 21” tall, signed by Junior Cobb on back, beer tab hanger (his usual). Very unique size and shape, especially the top. Also, I have not seen any of these, other than this one, that he used paint on (the headband and eyes on this have been painted). This was found in Mountain Home, Arkansas, about 20 miles from Junior’s home. We used to find a lot his carvings here, but not so much now as the years have gone by. I met Junior Cobb at his little sales shop near the Missouri border 30 years ago, where he sold his carvings out of, and we spoke for a while (I bought a few things, not sure if I still have them). Junior’s work is in the Smithsonian Museum and I believe he was on Johnny Carson (check me on that).
