To me, it is in excellent vintage condition, meaning wear consistent with age. This is not a new necklace. From my experience as a kid in the 70s who owned a Puka necklace, we wore them ALL THE TIME. Bering shells, the necklaces may have imperfections that add to their character. With that in mind, please zoom and look closely to make sure this is a good fit for you. Most folks would just put them on and go. I did not clean or polish the necklace. I know some folks like some patina so I leave cleaning and polishing up to the discretion of the buyer. I also didn’t want to ruin them with todays harsh chemicals. For weight and metal purity I rely on the results of my Fusion scale and the common Puri Test Acid tests.
