Note: The brown marks & flakes are from a dried oil / wax cosmoline protective coating applied by the manufacturer to protect against storage rust. This coating can be removed with normal household rubbing alcohol or paint thinner. A wire brushing may also be needed for finer threads. Should be re-oiled to prevent rust.
