Description: Discover the wonders of our planet with this vintage hardcover book titled "The World We Live In". The book contains breathtaking illustrations and insightful information about Earth science, making it a valuable addition to any collection. Originally printed in 1955, this book is a true gem for collectors and enthusiasts of earth science. The book is published by Time Life Books and authored by the Editorial Staff of Life, and Lincoln Barnett, providing a unique perspective on the topic. This book rested in my parent's bookshelf for decades. It is in very good condition, but the original dust jacket is quite tattered (see photos). Some slight shelf wear. Added bonus: My father stored a newspaper article (page) inside the front cover. The article is from the Los Angeles Times, dated September 21, 1958. The article illustrates our Solar System as it was known in 1958. Since it was stored inside the book, there is some yellowing transferred from the newspaper page to the inside cover book. The newspaper page is included with the purchase of this book. The book is oversized, measuring 14x11 inches.
