Spectacular Bergdorf Goodman Zardozi convertible clutch 1960s, cream/gold/stones

Description: ITEM: Zardozi bag from the early to mid-1960s sold at Bergdorf Goodman's. These were made in India using metallic hand embroidery and semiprecious stones. The stones look like agate and malachite, but I don't know for sure. There is a white and gold braid rope strap that can fit inside the purse for use as a clutch. The strap is long enough to make this a cross-body bag (about 37" overall length). There is a mirror pocket inside with a mirror marked Bergdorf Goodman, plus two additional small pockets with gold piping. Snap closure. The purse itself is about 7-3/4" x 4-3/4". CONDITION: Generally very good vintage condition. One of the small green stones is missing from the back (bottom row center), but otherwise the embroidery is in good condition. Bottom corners are slightly curled up and show some wear. There is a small brown mark in the fold on the bottom. The snap closure works well; the interior is clean. See photos for details.
