Scarce Antique Val. St. Lambert Sulfide of Belgian King Leopold II Paperweight

Description: OUR DESCRIPTION A STUNNING and Scarce Antique Val. St. Lambert Sulfide of Belgian King Leopold II Art Glass Paperweight on a Amethyst Overly Ground. This one is an unmarked Val St. Lambert and attribution is certain. I did see a small dimple in the glass at the bottoms edge on one side and I am sure that happened at the time this amazing work of art glass was created. I saw what I thought was a light scratch on the dome area but under a magnifying glass it turns out there is a bit of debris in the glass on the dome area. Debris inside weights back in the mid to late 1800's would occur frequently and happened from time to time. This Large and Amazing Antique Paperweight measures approximately 3-1/2" Diameter by 1-3/4" Tall. It has a clear concave bottom and the basal rim does show some ware and that would be consistent with it's age.
