Description: Sansui is world renown for their transformer quality and a well respected audio equipment manufacturer. This is a push pull stereo receiver from the mid 1960s with Stereo FM, AM, AUX, Tape Monitor, and Phono inputs. I've gone through this and replaced nearly 20 capacitors and cleaned the controls and switches. Everything is working as it should and this sounds great. Has mostly original tubes from Japan. The output tubes are 6BM8 and have about 10 watts per channel which is plenty of power for typical home application. I've cleaned the chassis, dial glass, brushed aluminum faceplate, and knobs. The case is metal with a blown splatter finish - original. It has a phono section complete with preamp for use with magnetic cartridges common in the 1970s and later turntables. I've replaced the power cord and power switch with new old stock parts. It uses a rare tuning tube (6G-E12A) which uses the left side for tuning AM and the right side for tuning FM - fully working. This tube alone is worth over $100.
