Description: Robert Gordon Stoneware Storage Jar This Robert Gordon designed stoneware storage jar is a stylish addition to any kitchen. Made in Australia during 1990s, it features a hand-painted cream coloured glaze with a lovely tulip flower design. Depicted is naïve representation of three oversized cobalt blue and green tulips placed evenly around each side of the jar placed and in between are silhouettes of houses in gold colour with and one also under each handle. The outside rim of the jar is decorated in dark green and the finial on the jar lid is also decorated in dark green. The jar has a detached lid and measures approximately 19cm at its widest, approximately 18cm in height and 16.75cm in diameter at its base. This vintage cannister is perfect for storing dry goods like tea, coffee, or baking supplies. It is an original piece and not a licensed reproduction. The jar's folk art style and handmade design make it a special addition to any home. Some minor crazing appears near the base around the tulip located towards the handle and between the tulip and house on the opposite side of the same handle.
