We do use TV-7B, Hickok 800, 6000A, EICO 667, and B&K 700. But these are just tube testers and not true parametric testing equipment. They are for "Go - No Go" testing and are best for weeding out bad and weak vacuum tubes. Truthfully, the best way to know how a vacuum tube will work is to use it in the actual application. The next best thing is to test it at the manufacturers parameters in the tube manual with proper lab or bench testing. This way one knows how close the vacuum tube is to it's designed standards.
