Description: Don't let this one get away! This is a very RARE Roman Vishniac signed negative. This is said to be "Entrace to the Old Ghetto" 1937. I procured this negative from the wife of the late and well-known film developer, Joe Delgaddo. You will see in our description photos a letter with Joe Delgaddo, a part of the team commissioned by YIVO to develop Roman Vishniac's work. (****THIS LETTER IS NOT A PART OF THE SALE****) This letter will be returned to the family. If you would like a copy, we can add that to the shipment if requested. More than any photographer, Roman Vishniac (1897-1990) profoundly shaped present-day impressions of Jewish life in Eastern Europe before the Holocaust and during the early years of the descent of the shadow of Nazism over Europe. Don't miss your chance to add the piece of lost history to your collection! Please see all description photos to judge the condition of this negative for yourself. We have not had this negative printed. We do not know the outcome or quality if taken to print. This negative has been in an envelope and in a safe for over 3 decades. If you have any questions please message us. Thank you!! ****To be clear, the signature is a part of the negative to show up on the print, not a physical signature on the negative.****
