Description: This is an excellent example of an old millinery crown block and separate brim block. I say they are 2 separate pieces because they separate, they don't appear to be from the same piece of wood and the crown piece has a size mark, but no maker's mark. However, they are being sold together. The brim piece is old enough to have acquired worm holes, and each piece is carved from its own respective piece of wood. As one might expect on an old mold, there are pencil marks and the brim appears to have remnants of a red dye on the interior, but overall they are in very good condition with no repairs and have not been refinished. The brim measures 12" at its widest, with the interior measuring 7.25"x6.5". The crown block measures 8"x6.5". Overall, it stands 9.25" tall
