Description: Offered for sale is a rare early glass pitcher and bowl set. Both pieces appear to have been pressed in a mold but the top of the pitcher is hand tooled and the handle is applied. Glass pitcher and bowl sets are hard to come by. We estimate this set to be late 19th century base on the construction. Dimensions: The pitcher measures a 10 inches tall and weighs in at a very heavy 6 pounds, 5 ounces. The bowl measures 13 7/8 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches tall. The bowl weighs in at 5 pounds, 12 ounce. 2. Markings: No signatures detected 3. Condition: This set is in great shape. We went over both pieces very carefully. There is a tiny open bubble on the top of the edge of bowl. There is one spot of mold roughness on the rim of the foot of the bowl that was done in the manufacture and there is one tiny nick to the same foot rim in another spot mentioned for absolute accuracy. There are no other chips, cracks, etc.! 4. Other: This is a great early set and the bowl has a really cool white inclusion which is characteristic of earl glass! Don't let this set get away!
