Description: Really nice copy of one of the 1961 vinyl three LP box set "Madama Butterfly," the legendary opera by Puccini. Tullio Serafin conducting the Orchestra di Academia di Santa Cecilia. Features Renata Tabaldi as Butterfly. London OSA 1314. Purchased new by my grandparents when it came out and in our family since. I grew up with this set, so I listened to the whole opera one last time for testing. Using the Goldmine scale I will rate the vinyl as VG+, borderline EXC. Internal paper sleeves are VG+, with light browning, but no splits anywhere. Cardboard clamshell box has extremely light scuffing from shelf wear, but great color, minor corner wear and no splits. VG+. Includes the original guidebook with information about the opera and performers, plus a brochure listing other sets available at the time. VG+. Whole set is truly in great shape. In my family for over 60 years, and now ready to join your collection for your listening pleasure! The photos are of the very LP box set you are bidding on, not a "similar" item.
