Description: For Sale: Super Rare (1978) Professor (Prof.) Waldof's box kite Designed by Peter Waldron and made in Worcestershire England. Brand new, never assembled or flown!! The length of the box kite rolled up as shown is 28" The box kite is 4' 8" assembled and folds down to fit in a 2' 4" orange nylon bag. (included as shown) Red, orange and purple nylon. Includes 6 wood poles (each is 28" long) This arresting, crystal-like kite named Professor Waldof's Box Kite is difficult to describe. Its a hexagonal box with twin concentric hexagonal cells. The center cells are dynamically suspended by six rip-stop nylon vanes, which are the basis of the kite's strngth and stability. The six upright sticks are strecthed by six spreader sticks which support the kite's wings. Pretied bracing strings hold the assembled kite rigid. Completed size is 27.5" H x 27.5" W with the 13.75" wings at the six angles. Requires 40-50lb test line. I have decided not to unwrap and assemble the kite as it is packaged very nicely as you would receive it new from Prof. Waldof.
