Description: For sale is an original M35 German combat helmet, in the rare large size 68 (size 61 liner), with manufacture code "NS" indicating Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, AG, with a lot number of # 6222. The heat stamps are crisp and clear. The shell presents as heavy and solid. This shell was meticulously restored in the famous tri-color Normandy camouflage scheme of yellows, browns, and greens on top of heavy wood chip texture. The helmet has been somewhat aged and has a more subdued camo effect with muted colors and patina. Liner has a nice vintage-looking dark hue with a size 61 stamp. Since this was originally restored in Europe, if anyone were to purchase this helmet with the purpose of re-finishing it, we would suggest simply over-spraying the helmets current finish.
