Description: Never utilized, tested good, MTH 40-1000 Z-1000 100 Watt AC Transformer & Controller with Whistle/Horn, Bell & Direction controls for O/027 gauge or S gauge AC trains that was made in 2006 as part of a (NOS) MTH train set. This has been the MTH higher end set transformer and overall mid-range power transformer since 2003. It features 100 Watts of variable AC power, Horn/ Whistle, Bell and Direction control buttons, Power & Overload indicator lamp, a large throttle knob for track variable voltage/power control, fixed 14 volt accessory terminals and a manually resettable 6 Amp circuit breaker for overload protection The two piece construction allows for the heavy (8 lbs) transformer brick to remain on floor while the light weight controller can be used on the layout / table top. This transformer provides sufficient power to run most new and old single engine trains while simultaneously powering some track-side accessories.Additionally, it is a fine alternative power source for the TMCC/ Legacy, LionChief & DCS lines of engines. Works with O/027 gauge 3 rail trains from Lionel, MTH and K-Line and AC powered S gauge.Comes with original set boxes & instructions, 1 pair (red & black) Banana plug track power wires (any can work) and I will wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.
