Description: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - There is important information below You are bidding on a reel to reel tape, the soundtrack to the film, "El Cid", written and conducted by Miklos Rozsa. This tape was released by MGM Records in 1961. I have listened to the tape all the way through. Most of the tape plays very well, with the following major exception: The beginning of the tape is gone, and the tape starts about 10-15 seconds into the first piece of music. The tape is worn in spots during the first few minutes, and then for the rest of side one and all of side two, plays beautifully. There is no impaired sound after the first few tracks, and nothing impaired on side two. The rest of the tape plays beautifully after this moment of damage, which you can hear in the samples below Here are the first few minutes of each side of the tape - including the way the first side starts (missing a few seconds, as described above), as well as another sample, as the tape plays on my machine. The second sample is from several minutes into the first side, to demonstrate how the sound quality improves after the first few minutes.
