This sale is for a very sharp 6" F12 Maksutov OTA, Vixen diagonal flip mirror, high speed ZWO 178 color usb3 camera and eyepiece.I hate letting this go but a few years back, I moved from the 4000 foot mountain in S California (beautiful clear steady skies) to the (wet, windy and foggy) Oregon coast.The optics are beautiful, the tube is lined with very black flock to enhance and preserve contrast. I manufactured a special adapter to the Vixen flip mirror to adapt it directly and rigidly to the rear of the OTA as close as possible to the recommended distance to both the chip and eyepice, see image 14. The chip and eye piece focus very close to the same plain.Center and focus the object in the eyepiece, flip the mirror to let the object fall on the chip, fine tune the focus and away you go.Image 6 was captured when I lived in the mountains in S.
