Comes in custom, organic barn wood frame with inlaid gold leaf threads. Medium: gouache painting on thin board. Russian village in the summer evening. Country scene with multiple characters and animals, expertly rendered artwork. Lominago was a noted Russian then Denver Colorado based artist who specialize in ichnography and depictions of Russian folklore. He studied at the art studio of the Leningrad Pioneer Palace, art academy for specially gifted youth, Leningrad, Art Institute, and with Archimandrite Alpi, Abbott of the Pskov Perchersky Monastery where he secretly learn the art of icon painting. With his family he immigrated to the United States in 1974, eventually settling in Denver. It was in this Colorado city, where he would create his masterpieces, a set of 38 icons in All Saints of Russian Orthodox Church. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.
