Product of Germany This mineral based plant substrate offers excellent drainage properties which ensures optimal root aeration and allows your plant to flourish. The substrate provides a stable pH value and the absorbent properties of the mix allow it to act as a reservoir to store water and nutrients, releasing them back to the plants as needed. Lechuza Pon does not compact or clump and its mineral base deters fungi and a large number of soil born pests such as fungus gnats. Pon is ideal for allergy sufferers. Please be aware Lechuza Pon is also enriched to feed your plants for 6 months, after which you will need to start applying fertilizer to feed your plants. Our analysis of the feed used determined the feeding is very light, if you are growing greedy plants or fast growers, you will probably want to consider applying additional fertilizer. Lechuza advises in their marketing it is impossible to overwater when you use their product and water logging will never be an issue. This most certainly is true, but if you are growing in decorative containers that do not allow water to drain when you need it to drain, it doesn't matter what you are growing in, standing water is standing water! Please also note if you are using this Pon for very heavy feeders, it is strongly recommended you supplement from an early stage with additional fertilizer. If you are using it for low nutritional need plants, you should not need to worry about feeding for at least 5-6 months.
