Description: The Views of Rome designed and engraved by G. B. Piranesi (Edizioni d'Arte "ASTRO") Cav. Enrico Verdesi It is in good condition. The inside of the hardcover bindings contains two folios of loose prints/engravings/etchings (one marked Serie I and the other marked Serie II). The inside cover of the Serie I folio has an old Ex Libris stamp pasted down. There are a total of 23 prints inside (Serie I has 12 prints and Serie I has 11 prints). Each of the prints measures approximately 17-3/4" x 13-3/4". Several of the prints have some tiny holes/rips in the outer corners most likely from thumbtacks. The outer hardcover folio case measures approximately 17-7/8" x 13-7/8" x 3/4". The endpapers of the boards seems to have functioned as outer wraps for the entire volume, because there are two loose brown flaps included that were once attached to the back endpapers. The front of the hardcover has what looks to be "DEANS" written in pen on the bottom near the edge.
