Description: This is a lovely Sky Blue Topaz gemstone in a pear cut. It measures 18X13 mm and is 9.4 mm deep - see photos with the mm gauge that show exact measurements at. It weighs about 14.45 cts. This gem is eye clean with no visible inclusions. Color: The color of this gem is a pretty shade of bright sky blue. It is a perfect sky blue color - not too light and not too dark. The true color shows up perfectly on the photos on my cell phone, but on my computer it looks a tinge more grey-blue, but in person actually looks a bit more like an aquamarine color, blue with a tiny hint of green. I guess it depends what the screen on your device shows you and the light you view it in. The stone is transparent. Just about all blue topaz gemstones on the market today have been heated thru irradiation to enhance the color, so I am assuming this one has also been heated. I have decided to sell some gemstones that at one time I had the intention to use, but never got around to it. I enlarge my photos to show clarity and details, but keep in mind, the stones usually smaller than the photos appear so please pay close attention to the dimensions. The colors might look a little different on different monitors so double check my description for color. I always say the weight is "about" a certain amount of carats because I realize that not all weight scales weigh in exactly the same and can be off by a tiny fraction up or down, but all in all my weight calculations are fairly accurate. Although I call the stone pre-owned because I owned it a long time, it is in new condition - never used and has been stored carefully. Please note I am not a gem dealer by trade. I have been collecting stones my entire life and studied color stones with the GIA. I'm just selling some pieces that I never had the opportunity to use, and I'd like to see them go to someone who will enjoy and use them.
