Description: This wonderfully rare and delightful 18 and 1/2 inch (47 centimeter) tall Käthe Kruse Mimerle Doll is in excellent preowned condition, listed as used only because she has previously been very gently displayed, but upon arrival to your collection, you will agree she is in Very Fine condition. Mimerle, wears her original Black Watch Scottish Plaid dress topped with an off-white pinafore. Her outfit includes a half slip plus a separate cotton knit teddy (panty and camisole all in one) that snaps at the back. She has long thigh high socks and the sweetest red leather buckle strap shoes with polka dot holes across the top allowing the white socks to show through. To complete her adorable outfit red ribbons decorate her blonde looped pigtailed braids. I removed Mimerle’s socks and shoes to check for her signature and date stamps on the soles of her feet. *Both the signature and date are lightly stamped. The date is difficult to read but at the right tilt, it appears her right foot is stamped 1983. I am very grateful to a new collector friend who shared with me that Mimerle in this larger size is featured in the Kathe Kruse 1983-1984 catalog. She is shown with her little “sister” Franzi wearing a similar dress. I have included 2 snapshots in the photo section that you may want to print if you are the lucky purchaser of this special doll. No catalog is provided with this doll. Mimerle is sold as described through text and photos provided in this listing. This darling girl doll is ready to be adopted! Condition: 1. There is age discoloration on her socks from her lovely red shoes. See photos. 2. I’m not positive, but I think her pinafore may have originally been a brighter white. 3. Mimerle’s original box, with her name and height in centimeters hand written on one end, is provided at no additional cost. It has light surface wear, a few minor breaks, and a replacement clear archival plastic view window but is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
