Nicely made, complete with wheels and wooden gun carriage, as shown. PROBABLY MADE AS A CIVIL WAR BATTLEFIELD SOUVENIR.No powder in this of course, and made purely to be an early ornamental souvenir, so absolutely safe to sell, ship, and own.Faintly marked on the barrel is "NORTH CAROLINA". Great early souvenir!!! Probably dates to about 1900 - 1910 from the look of it and the marking.About 6" long overall, and 4" high. The piece is 4" high and almost 4 1/4" wide. Very good untouched, original condition. Nice patina and aged appearance! One of the more unusual folk art pieces you will ever find from this great state.
