Description: High Quality Front Sight AdjustingTool Made in the USA by Precision Prototype and Machine.CNC machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum bar stock, which is as strong as many grades of mild steel.304 stainless steel adjusting screws.Full sized tool, slides over the barrel for more stability compared to those that merely straddle the sight base.Smooth surfaces unlike others that are cut with a waterjet or laser. Stop machined into tool to keep it perfectly centered on the sight while adjusting. Will move the sight even if it is staked and rusted in place. Never a need for a hammer and punch to free the sight before use, like with others. Made for a lifetime of use without fear of ever bending or distorting. Save the headaches and buy the proper tool. Allen wrench included.THIS TOOL IS DESIGNED FOR ADJUSTING THE FRONT SIGHT ONLY, AND WILL NOT WORK AS A FRONT SIGHT REMOVAL TOOL. Every surface of this full sized tool has been CNC machined and tolerances held to thousandths of an inch, unlike others made from a thin piece of weaker 6061 flat stock that only straddle the sight base and not slide over the barrel and sight base. This tool will not bend out of shape like other cheap offerings. Adjusting screws are 304 stainless steel with the ends milled flat (normal set screws are made to bite into the metal they are tightened against, and if not modified will distort the front sight where it is pushing against) and the threads machined off the tips. There is a stop machined into the tool that butts up to the front sight base to keep the screws perfectly centered while adjusting the front sight. Just slide the tool onto the barrel and butt it up to the front sight; no more fumbling around trying to keep the tool centered on the sight while making adjustments. The edges of the tool are also radiused to 1/8" during the CNC machining process so there are no sharp edges to scratch your rifle or cut the operator. Allen wrench is included for the adjusting screws. This tool will not rust, unlike those made of untreated steel that is left "In the White". The 7075 aluminum bar stock used to manufacture these tools is made in the USA (Kaiser) and purchased from a supplier located in the USA. The cost of this high strength aluminum alloy is more than twice the price of the lower strength 6061 used by others, but at almost twice the strength I feel it is the only option for the K98 tools I produce. These tools are manufactured utilizing CNC machining centers and precision measuring equipment in a proper machine shop, not in the garage out back with a Harbor Freight special. This tool will not work with the M48. Shipping is by USPS First Class with tool in a 6"x9" padded envelope. Iowa residents will be charged a 7% sales tax. Shipping to the United States only, no exceptions. Not for sale or shipping outside of the United States. This means I do not sell or ship to France.
