Description: HEAVILY modded ADALM-PLUTO with a GENUINE AD9364 RF IC. This is a 1RX, 1TX IC with FULL SPECTRUM SPEC SENSITIVITY from 70 Mhz to 6Ghz. Gone are the deficient gaps of the AD9363. The AD9364 are used in ETTUS SDR, EPIQ SDR and other high end SDR for those that want no frequency limitations with the '63 chip. AD9364 COSTS MORE THAN THE ADALM PLUTO ITSELF. You can do a search on Digikey and Mouser. This is a GENUINE part that has been installed into the ADALM PLUTO. Last photo is of Adalm Pluto noise versus other SDRs as tested by an independent source. If you're doing ADS-B or other high frequency work, Pluto is one of the quietest units available. This unit was tested against a Nooelec RTL-SDR unit and had about 3x to 4x more ADS-B / aircraft signals detected. Much more sensitive and much lower noise levels than the RTL-SDR stick. If you're doing ADS-B, this might be the unit you are looking for. Your results may vary. ADALM Pluto with the superb Epson Seiko TCXO 0.5 ppm oscillator. This is one of the very few TCXO that will meet the ultra low phase noise requirements for the AD936x family of RFIC. Many will make the mistake of using a Leo Bodnar at 40 Mhz or use the AST TCXO part, both of which have extremely high phase noise (20dB or more) than the limits of the required phase noise level. Consult the Analog Devices user guide, REV A (UG-570), page 15 and you'll see a graph of the required phase noise level. Keep in mind to check the data sheet for 40 Mhz operation as many will list the much lower phase noise (marketing) at only 10 Mhz. Stock TCXO from Rakon (25ppm) has been removed, 0.5ppm Epson Seiko TCXO has been installed. This takes quite a bit of work and patience due to the surrounding small parts. Unit has been tested and works great! Will include the original box as well as the modified REV C/D unit. Clock input has been installed so you have the option of feeding a OCXO output into the ADALM PLUTO. 3.3v pp max. CUSTOM LABELS on front and back with pearl blue background.
