Seven vintage ink blotters featuring colorful Moran pinups and framed blurbs, each a different city and month calendar, from 8/1939 to 5/1940, without (lacking) 9/1939, 12/1939, and 2/1940, thus presumed originally issued in lots of 10 cards per envelope. These blotters are marked as "mailing cards" on the envelope, produced for uses as mail-order advertisement and shop decor. Blotters were useful during the era of fountain pens (devices that bled ink), placed behind the parchment to absorb the excess ink, keeping safe surfaces beneath. All cards/illustrations show Moran's name and B&B copyright. About 4.75 x 10 inches, card stock, printed on rectos, plain versos.
