Description: This is an Antique EAPG Kings Crown Thumbprint / Excelsior (XLCR) Covered Compote or Glass Candy Dish, made by Adams circa 1891. The clear footed dish has a beautiful sawtooth edge and thumbprint pattern, resembling a king's crown. The compote with lid measures approximately 8" in diameter x 12" tall to the top of the finial and is in good antique pre-owned condition with no cracks, stains, crazing, or scratches. There is some chipping in a few spots on the lid's sawtooth edge and on the finial. Due to the sawtooth pattern, the chips are not immediately noticeable and could easily be overlooked.
