The upgrade includes a host of new and way cool features as well as 128 new ROM presets.Included will be 2 new EPROM chips, which will be labeled accordingly to indicate which IC sockets the EPROM is to be installed to.Keep in mind that the Orbit 9090 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chips will be supplied.E-MU officially released this kit in very limited numbers to authorized service centers.The installation of this kit replaces ALL the presets in the Orbit 9090, both RAM and ROM. If you wish to keep the old RAM and ROM presets, you should BACK UP these presets before the installing of this upgrade.If you do not have a way to back-up and restore the preset RAM (such as computer with a MIDI interface) then I suggest you get that sorted out before installing the upgrade.Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.Purchase with confidence!
