Overcharging may cause the battery pack to heat up which can shorten the life of your rechargeable battery pack.Charging Indicator: While charging, the charger light will be red, and when fully charged the light will turn green. When fully charged, a small trickle charge will keep your battery at full power without overcharging the battery pack.Charging Time: For the 800 mAh Ni-Cad battery, the charging time is 4.8 hours. For the 1000 mAh NiMH battery, the charging time is 6 hours. If you use an aftermarket higher capacity battery pack, for each increase in battery capacity of 200 mAh, it will take an additional 1.2 hours to fully charge.Compatible: Minelab Excalibur II
