Description: DBX MC6 Mini-Compressor Brand NEW. The MC-6 was designed as a simplified version of the DBX 160X, a much-fancied studio workhorse. It offers both 'hard' compression and an 'over easy' mode, the latter giving way more control over attack and release than you'd get from a typical compressor pedal. The MC-6 is easy to use but has excellent sound, surprisingly good metering courtesy of all those LEDs and -- crucially -- the kind of headroom you'd associate with its rackmount big brother. It's great with vocals and drums, and stellar with bass. Guitarists who want to add a hard 'orange squeezer' effect to their pedalboards should maybe look elsewhere, but those wanting to tighten up the sounds coming out of a home studio will love it.
