Description: Up for sale, a vintage Framus BL-10 solid mahogany electric guitar. This looks like a funky take on an SG or LP junior. I've owned a few Framus guitars over the years and they all have that funky German weirdness going on, this thing actually seems kind of cool and not as blocky and odd. The headstock is still crazy looking but the body feels like an American creation. Anyhow, this guitar had a receipt from work done about 10 years ago inside its gig bag, it had a set-up and various clean-up work done (I'll include the receipt with the guitar). It still has a decent set-up but the pots have gone noisy again and the switches will need to be cleaned as they are fiddly/noisy. As far as playing integrity, it seems like it will be a pretty nice player (once the electronics are cleaned). As for cosmetics, the body has numerous bumps and bruises everywhere and some significant finish checking and general blemishes. Seems to add character more-so than looking worrisome. Neck looks and feels pretty good. I do note that there are a few empty screw holes to the right of the pick-ups. Not sure if there was a cover or if this thing has had non-original pickups added somewhere in its life. I don't know enough about these to make a call. The serial has a suffix of -69- so I'm betting that's the year it was built. Comes in a gig bag which is a little sad looking. (I'll try to find something nicer for shipping) In googling around for information on this thing I found a guy playing one of these on Youtube, sounded great to be honest. US bidders/buyers only please. This will ship tracked and insured.
