Description: The Division Azul (Blue Division) was composed of volunteer soldiers from Spain, Germany's ally in WW2, who fought in Russia and on the Eastern Front and were renowned for their bravery and discipline. This is a ration currency sheet issued by the Blue Division Air Force for distribution in post-Civil War Spain. It has 10 ration tickets on the back (denoted by tiny perforations in the paper), each for a different scarce commodity including beans, rice, bread, sugar etc. The perforations created a 3-D look. In fact, the image looks hand painted due to printing of the era. Very bold and colorful image of a Focke-Wulfe FW 190D fighter plane in action!! Excellent to near mint condition!
