Take the next step on from our beginner’s soldering kits with the Rakit Baby8! The uses for this controller are only limited by your imagination! Kit Assembly This kit is rated as easy, takes around 2hrs to make and is suitable for all ages. The only equipment needed to complete this kit is a soldering iron and a pair of flush cutters. 1m of our favourite lead free solder is included in the kit. How It Works The Baby8 is not an instrument in itself, but a controller of a vast array of other noise making devices with a 0-5V CV input. Examples include our Mini Atari Punk Console, synthesizers, our Drum Synth, effects pedals – the list is endless! Build Support We are unable to provide individual customer support with kit building so please see the detailed assembly guide at Rakit to gauge difficulty before purchasing. Once started, kits cannot be refunded. 2X FUNCTION OPTIONSStep Reset ModeSet the length of your sequence from 1-8 steps in this mode. Simply set the switch after your chosen number of steps to reset and away you go! Step Skipping ModeWhen selected, this mode enables you to set any of the switches (2-8) to ‘skip’ and then continues with the rest of the sequence creating all manner of funky rhythms! CONNECT TO OUR ATARI PUNK CONSOLE A set of connectors is included with kit to bring the Baby8 and mini APC together for all sorts of fun! In the case of returns due to a change of mind you will need to pay the return postage. We cannot always refund kits which have been started however we offer full support and advice throughout your build via the Ebay messaging service and will happily run fault finding tests on your unit should you have any problems and wish to send it to us. In the case of buyer manufacturing error we will be unable to offer a refund however if tests show that faulty components have been issued we will refund your return postage costs (up to £3.15), the cost of your original unit/ a repair / replacement.
