Description: This auction is for an antique, patchwork and applique quilt that measures 76" by 66" in size. The colors are red and white and tan, and the pattern is patchwork and bordered with a leafy appliqued vine. Hand-quilted, small stitches. Outer edge is red binding. The backing fabric is white. Vibrant red color, no color bleed. Low, medium loft. There is slight fading on the outer edge, and several worn beige colored squares in the center of the quilt (where the quilt was folded. Some yellowing and some small faint spot stains front and on the back. Note - the patchwork squares design is slightly off center - as if the creator decided to make the quilt smaller. The floral quilted squares are balanced, and border is "right", but there are 2 random small, red squares in 2 corners of the patchwork design. It's still a great quilt, but if balance and perfection are part of your nature,you might be bothered by the design. Just sayin'. :-)
