The 1" PEGS can be easily ground down to their 3/4" counterpart. Threads are the same in both sizes of PEGs and after cutting these down to 3/4", there are plenty of threads for each style of Allen Screw so no thread cutting is necessary - see pics showing the shortened PEG. That is, neither style of 2mm or 3mm Allen Screw will at all bottom out after the 1" PEG is shortened to 3/4". (the 3mm Allen Screws have a tad longer head to them) Let us know if you have any questions.
