Description: This postcard-- published by A. M. Simon out of New York-- shows the "Third Street Bridge, Abilene, Kansas." I suspect this bridge extended over Mud Creek, pictured in the postcard. Today this place and new bridge looks much different. The postcard was postmarked in September of 1909 in Abilene, Dickinson County, Kansas, and sent to Jewell City, Jewel County, Kansas. PLEASE review the scans carefully and then buy confidently. For the buyer, I'll send your postcard free of charge with standard first class shipping within the United States. If you want certified mail services (includes tracking), however, you can add $3.00 to your purchase and then I'll be happy to arrange that-- just please send me a message and alert me to your wish for this arrangement. I collect, trade, and sell postcards because it's interesting and fun. If I'm selling a postcard that you'd like to own but you perceive that my asking price is just too high for your taste or budget, then make an offer or contact me and let's see if we can make a deal. I like it best when everybody gets what they want :) Thanks for considering this keepsake.
