Description: 7" Vinyl Lot #42 - Mostly 1950s 45s in a 10-Sleeve Record Album Comments: The records were all fully play-tested after cleaning. The red/burgundy record album looks great with only minor wear. The records were in the album when I acquired it. The 10 records were reasonably cared for. All play well and almost all of the sides sound fabulous. Record Condition (for the eyes): Visually, the records are all in good looking VG or VG+ condition. They all have good gloss along with some surface scuffs. Further condition details can be found in the list of titles below. Record Condition (for the ears): The music sounded great on every single one of these records. Record surface noise levels vary from record to record, but in no case was surface noise overpowering or a significant distraction. I found this batch of records very enjoyable to listen to and I think you will too. The music prevails. There were no skips or sticks of course. Record Labels Condition: All of the records except for "Tiny Bubbles" have a sticker placed on one of the labels. Otherwise, the labels are mostly decent looking. Here is what is on the records (with issue year preceding the artist names):early 1950s - The Plainsmen - New San Antonio Rose / South - VG+ minimal background record surface noise - great guitar1952 - The Holidays with Tom Eldridge - Happy Wedding Anniversary Polka / Happy Birthday Polka - VG+ negligible background record surface noise - great sound1952 - Pee Wee King and his Golden West Cowboys, Redd Stewart vocal - Slow Poke / Whisper Waltz - high-end VG minimal background record surface noise with a few light ticks1951 - Moon Mullican - Love Is The Light That Leads Me Home / Cherokee Boogie (Eh-Oh-Aleena) - high-end VG mild background record surface noise with a few light ticks1951 - Eddie Fisher with Hugo Winterhalter and his Orchestra - I'll Hold You In My Heart ('Til I Can Hold You In My Arms) / I Heard A Song - high-end VG Minimal background record surface noise but there are occasional light ticks throughoutmid-1950s? - Knuckles O'Toole and his Honky Tonk Piano & Orch. - If You Knew Susie / Peg O' My Heart / Shine On Harvest Moon / Harrigan / You're A Grand Old Flag / Yankee Doodle Boy / Paper Doll - VG Background record surface noise is heard as a mild crackle, but the sound is still great1951 - Patti Page with Orchestra Conducted by Jack Rael and the Jack Rael Quintette - Mockingbird Hill / I Love You Because - VG Sounds great - mild background record surface noise with occasional ticks1954 - Rosemary Clooney with Buddy Cole & his Orch. - Hey There / This Ole House - VG mild background record surface noise but there is also moderate distortion in the right channel in "Hey "There". "This Ole House" sounds great though and is as good or better of a song than "Hey There". ("hey There" is great too and can be enjoyed even with the distortion I mentioned.)1950 - Dinah Shore with Henri Rene's Orchestra and Chorus - Sweet Violets / If You Turn Me Down (Dee-Own-Down-Down) - VG+ Background record surface noise is negligible. This is a wonderful sounding record - and fun too.1966 - Don Ho and the Aliis - Tiny Bubbles / Born Free - VG+ Background record surface noise is negligible and the sound is booming and beautiful. I don't know why this 1966 record ended up in an album where everything else is early to mid-1950s, but who cares? It's a great record!Album Type: The records are housed in an unknown brand, ten-sleeve record album. The album is approximately 7 1/2 inches tall and about 9 inches on the longest side. Album Condition: VG+. The front and back covers of the album looks nice with only light wear/light scuffs. There is, of course, a little more wear on edges and at corners. There is the remnant of a sticker on the spine. The album is holding together very well - very solid. The stiff sleeves on the inside are in excellent condition with minor wear. There are some black marks of unknown origin on the outsides of some of the sleeves. I tried wiping off with a dry cloth without much success. I think the black marks probably originated in the manufacturing process. I say that because I have a few other identical albums with the same kind of sleeve marks. The previous owner who put this collection together made an index on lined paper and glued it to the inside front cover. The index matches the record inside the album. Shipping Notes: This will be protected with proper packing materials when shipped, so don't worry about a thing! The records may be shipped in the album sleeves as pictured. A significant portion of the cost of this lot goes toward postage and quality packing materials. Please examine the photos before making your decision to buy. Zoom right in. When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required. For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount. Some items are not compatible for combined shipping. Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense. A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping. Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.I reserve the right to limit the number or total value of items that I'm willing to send in a single package. For international sales I use ebay's international shipping program. Combined shipping depends on the ebay shipping program rules in place at the time of shipment. It is possible that no combined shipping discount is available for international orders.************* End of long-winded answers to hypothetical questions ***********
