Description: According to my Ebay search there are no Professional Life boxes on ebay which only attests to the rarity of Professional Life rolls; however, this is no ordinary bank box, but instead a complete box of Professional Life First Day Ceremonial rolls. In other words, regular bank boxes of Professional Life rolls are obviously hard to find which only puts into perspective of what is being sold here since these First Day Ceremonial rolls are many times more rare than ordinary bank and US Mint Professional Life rolls. US Mint Ceremonial rolls with First Day cancellations are one of the hidden gems in the coin collecting world. Ceremonial rolls are MANY MORE TIMESE RARE than US Mint rolls. Out of the hundreds of thousands of penny collectors out there and how many are searching out Professional Life pennies right now? Probably, very few, but if I could reach even a small fraction of them I'm sure this box would go for many times more than what I'm asking here. 316 Million Professional Life P pennies minted and if these were all put into bank rolls this WOULD MEAN well over 6 million rolls and based on sheer observation where the official USPS cancellations took place there was right around 1000 of these First Day rolls cancelled on the release date. In other words, this puts into perspective on just how rare these rolls really are. Yes, about 1000 ceremonial rolls in existence out of a possible 6 million plus ordinary Professional Life rolls. First Day Ceremonial rolls are MANY MANY MANY more times rare than the 2009 US Mint Professional Life rolls and of course a ton more times rare than ordinary Professional Life bank rolls. Just look at the quantities of US Mint Professional Life rolls on Ebay and not to mention that they go for about $7 a roll with shipping. Not only are these extra-ordinary rare, but each roll is also affixed with one of the famous Lincoln stamps from the famous USPS Lincoln 200th Birthday stamp series. Furthermore, these rolls were all cancelled with the OFFICIAL United States Post Office cancellation stamper that was made for the US Mint Professional Life Release ceremony. In addition, you can see how cosmetically these rolls look much better than just any ordinary bank rolls. I hate to let these go, but I'm getting out of the collecting hobby and selling the last few pieces of my collection. I've saved the coolest and most unique stuff for last and hopefully someone with a long term perspective can one day sell this box for many more times for what they paid for it. Owning an ordinary roll or box from the Lincoln Professional Life penny series is a nice collectible to own, but to own First Day Ceremonial rolls is in a class by itself. If this is not one of thee rarest boxes to own of the Professional Life series than I don't what is. Without question, the owner of this box could very well have the prestige of owning one of the rarest boxes of any penny since 1959. In addition, the box was also cancelled on the release date which is an added bonus to the magnitude of what we have here. These 50 rolls are an absolute treasure and arguably one of the holy grails of the penny series post 1958. These are TRUE ORIGINAL FIRST DAY CEREMONIAL ROLLS FROM THE US MINT CEREMONY IN SPRINGFIELD, IL back in 2009. No question, the word rare gets frequently used and this is indeed a true rarity. This is a one of a kind collectible from the 2009 special Lincoln series. These were officially stamped and cancelled by the United States Post Office just minutes away from the US Mint Release Ceremony for the new Professional Life penny. The US Mint allowed attendees to purchase penny rolls/boxes after the ceremony and then collectors flocked to the US Post Office where they were offering a special commemorative cancellation for the rolls so that collectors could prove that these were first day rolls and of course a memento from the ceremony.
