The instant replay is literally that, its instant, once you press the any number key you put your sound in, whether its a dog barking effect or air horn sound you can press that hot key over and over and it will keep triggering that sound. Once you press the hot key 1 time it will play what ever that source Sound or music is until it ends and count down how much time is left on the Display Screen above the Tape controls before the clip is about to end. You can press the loop button and it will continue to repeat that song until you press stop or even pause. There are 3 big operational keys, Stop ,Play, and Record which look awesome in low lighting because every single button on the Instant replay are illuminated Red when you select that button or key. They are very bright so you are aware your machine is playing ,paused, in record for adding new sounds or in any of the features. It records all the Sounds or music its internal Hard drive which has over 200hours of actual hard drive space, so you could record several Albums for your live show performances all in this small desktop playback machine. Nobody has ever made anything as dope as 360 Systems instant replay, this is version 2 with software 3.6 and is no longer made but can always be serviced if you did need anything because the company is still present. There are multiple Sample Rates 44.1khz and 48khz at both 16bit or 24bit, thats your choice I used 44.1khz for music sample rates so when importing digital from my protools rig music files it was a easy transfer without sample issues. The machine can also do editing of your audio, so for getting a precise trigger of the sound you just recorded, lets say a train horn, you may want it to start soon as you press the key, so editing the start of the sound or trimming it can be done right there in the box, for both the Head and tails of the sound. The Instant replay also lets you add fades to allow your sound to fade out with no hard glitches or endings. You can always delete any sounds, rename them, move them around to any hotkey, loop them and adjust there Volume level if they are to low, its like having protools in a smaller laptop, but a much cooler looking machine!!! It never fails people are blown away when they see this machine because its rare to be honest, if you weren't a Tour DJ for 50cent, Bone Thugs N harmony, or any major artist you may not have known about this box.
