The flower style is also very conservative 1950s. The ruffle however, is definitely moving into the 60s, and you will start to see this kind of perma-pleat "lettuce hem" on cocktail dresses. The color combinations are becoming more bold in this dress. The background is a pale green while the flowers are a bright orange. Notice the leaves are not typical green, but blue.
