Densely illustrated with in text illustrations and engravings and with a large colour folding map to the rear. Collated, complete. Prior owner's ink inscriptions to the pastedowns and prior owner's book plate dated 1931 to the first pastedown. CONDITION In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There are some light marks to the boards. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot.
